Last night, we took Abby to her 2 week check up. She weighs 7 lbs 13 oz & she's 20.25 inches. At her newborn visit she was 6 lbs 13 oz...that means this child gained a lb in a week! It doesn't surprise me though, she is constantly hungry. She'll eat 3-4 oz & 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours she'll wanna eat again. Everything else checked out on her, her jaundice is normal now, she didn't need any special treatment for it which is good.
She's still a pretty good baby, she loves to be held, she'll just sit and look at you while you hold her. Elizabeth loves to sit and talk to her, its funny. I can't believe she'll be 3 weeks old on Tuesday. It seemed like it took her so long to get here, now she's growing up so fast!

Scary Day Yesterday
Yesterday was not fun at all, we were supposed to go to phoenix today, well that changed. We ended up spending the day in the hospital instead yesterday. Elizabeth has been sick since Abby was born. Yesterday she was laying on the couch watching TV and I looked at her and she looked like she was laying there being silly. So I called her name, zero response. I got up and went over to her. Her eyes were fixed in one spot, her arms were pulled up by her face, I picked her up and she was completely rigid. At this point Andy ran over to the phone and called 911. We had no idea what was happening to her! While Andy was talking to 911, I went to the kitchen and tried to sit her on the counter, I couldn't get her to let go of me, its like she developed super human strength. Finally I got her to let go & finally she started moving eyes and became less rigid but she still couldn't sit up. She started gagging like she was going to throw up too. And she tried to talk but it was only gibberish coming out. Finally we could hear the sirens coming and by the time I sat Elizabeth on the couch they were at our house. Like 5 paramedics came in w/ all their equipment including the stretcher. They started checking her vitals, her o2 level was 90, her temp was 103 degrees. So they put her on oxygen immediately. One of the paramedics told us that he was pretty sure that she had a fibril seizure, a seizure caused by a spike in temp. By this point Elizabeth was shaking and starting to come around. During all of this Abby was screaming cause she was hungry, which just added to the crazyness. The paramedics asked us if we wanted them to take her to the hospital or if we wanted to take her to our pediatrician. We said we'd take her. Well after the paramedics left, our neighbors are coming over trying to find out what happened, while we're trying to get out the door. Well we took her to our pediatrican and they wouldn't look at her. So we drove up to McKaydee and took her to the Er. We sat there for 4 hours, while they gave her meds to bring her temp down, checked her to influenza, rsv, did a chest x-ray. Luckily our dr was nice enough to give us a bottle for Abby (since we ran out w/only a little bottle) and Elizabeth & Abby slept most of the time luckily. Elizabeth tested positive for the flu, which was the reason why her temp spiked like that. And we got antibiotics for her ear infection. We just have to keep Tylenol/Motrin in her all the time to keep it from doing that again.

Introducing Abbygail Lynn Morrison
So I finally got around to writing this blog on Abby's birth...
Abbygail Lynn was born on 02.03.2009 at 2:34pm, I was induced that day at 39 weeks 1 day. Which is totally a blessing that I made it so far with her, I really thankful I did. She weighed 7 lbs and was 20 inches long.
So far she's a very laid back, easy going baby. She only really cries when she is hungry. Even after she was born, she cried a little then tried to open her eyes and look around. She loves to just sit and look around, she's very aware of her surroundings.
She has a little bit of jaundice, but when we left the hospital it was in the mid range. We take her in for her 1st doctor appointment tonight so we will see how she's doing with that.
Elizabeth is loving being a big sister. She loves to help with her (sometimes a little too much) but she's a really good helper overall.
Elizabeth is just starting to get over a cold, and she also has a ear infection but she's on antibiotics for it and it seems to be getting better.

Also here is an update on us.
Andy had his orientation for his new job today, he's going to be working for CR England, driving over the road to all 48 states. He'll be gone for 21 - 28 days at a time. It will be hard on all of us, but with being on workman's comp since November 2007. This was the only company that hired him. He goes on the road on the 13th. Depending on how everything goes with this job, in July I may be moving back to Vernal. From everything we've heard the oil field is shutting down pretty much so I'm hoping housing will be a little more affordable than it is now. The reason why I want to move back to Vernal, mainly just to have more help closer by. Then hopefully we can back in a few years. But we'll see once Andy starts working and all that.
